¡Presente! Media
¡Presente! Media is dedicated to creating bilingual news articles and documentaries that shine a light on social justice. We tackle important topics such as racial and immigrant rights, educational fairness, cultural issues, and equality for gender and LGBTQ communities. The term “¡Presente!” translates to “I’m here” and is a well-known slogan in various Latin American movements. Our approach is centered on community journalism, prioritizing the experiences and narratives of those most affected by social injustices. We strive to ensure that storytelling about Latinx communities is inclusive, accurate, and highlights our voices and stories as being “presente!” ¡Presente! Media receives funding from the Independence Public Media Foundation and the Bread & Roses Community Fund.
