Primerisima Nicaragua

Radio La Primerísima began its journey in December 1985, emerging during the decade-long rule of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN) that followed the revolutionary victory in 1979 against the Somoza regime, and continued until their electoral loss in 1990. The station's history can be divided into two key phases: initially, it was owned by the government until 1990, and since then, it has been owned by the workers through the Association of Nicaraguan Radio Broadcasting Professionals (APRANIC), a status it maintains to this day.
