Prohibition (Ukraine)

Prohibition is a media initiative launched by Ukrainian journalists to address rising conservative movements and societal divides. Our purpose is to shed light on current events in Ukraine and Eastern Europe through the lens of personal stories, examining trends and discussing them from close perspectives. We focus on difficult, often overlooked, and contentious subjects. Our aim is to promote pohotelling, which emphasizes a thorough, research-oriented approach to journalism, known as slow journalism. We seek to uncover stories from Eastern Europe and Central Asia. We produce a variety of multimedia content, including written articles, reportages, comics, feature films, videos, and documentaries. We stand firmly against all forms of propaganda and advocate for transparency and impartiality. We believe that modern journalism should focus on individuals and the changing world around them.

The explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant by the Russian occupiers led to catastrophic consequences.
