Published on October 14, 2024 On October 17, 2024, a new and ambitious piece of legislation aimed at enhancing cybersecurity across EU Member States will enter into force. It’s called the NIS2 Directive(new window) (Network and Information Security Directive 2), and it will significantly expand the scope of the previous cybersecurity legislation (the 2016 NIS Directive) to cover more sectors — including healthcare, energy, transport, and digital infrastructure.
