The Queens Post is an independent media organization that operates seven local news websites in Queens and one in Brooklyn. We provide timely updates on various topics such as education, local government, small businesses, crime, real estate, and more. Our dedicated team of reporters uncovers stories—both major and minor—that matter to residents in the community. The company was founded by Christian Murray, a seasoned journalist with a background as a reporter for Newsday and Thomson Reuters. He holds a master’s degree from Columbia University’s School of Journalism and is an alumnus of the University of Auckland. Murray started Outer Boro Media and its affiliated companies in 2009. Originally from New Zealand, he has lived in New York since 1994. He also serves on the boards of the Sunnyside Chamber of Commerce and the Hunters Point Parks Conservancy.
