Radio Sonora

Radio Sonora

Radio Sonora, a champion of Popular Culture, started broadcasting on October 8, 1982, with a vision to provide Sonorans an alternative option through public radio. Just five days later, on October 13, it officially launched under the call sign XHHB-FM at 94.7 FM, with the inauguration led by then-Governor Samuel Ocaña García. From the very beginning, Radio Sonora has been dedicated to offering its audience a mix of music across various genres, alongside informative programs and engaging content. Its goal has always been to foster community feedback while staying true to its mission of promoting local customs, traditions, and creating educational and cultural programming. Radio Sonora continues to grow steadily, dedicating significant human and technical resources to support its development.
