    I’m incredibly excited to share the news: my new single, “Don’t Let The Bastards Get You Down,” is coming out next Tuesday, June 10th. I hope this song sparks unity and action for those facing oppression and hardship. I wrote it as a battle cry for the downtrodden—a reminder to keep going, even when the world tries to grind you down.

    Once upon a time, not so long ago, children’s hands were idol. There was an innocent boredom to childhood and adolescence in the nineteen-eighties and nineteen-nineties that sparked imagination, ingenuity and creation. There was so much time to sit around and think and for whatever reason, time seemed to move just a little slower. I thank God that my hands weren’t full of devices like smart phones, iPads and computers.

    "Bertolt Brecht once said, ‘In the dark times Will there also be singing? Yes, there will also be singing. About the dark times' but I first heard it from the lips of Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello when he took the stage on Saturday evening for a rousing version of ‘This Land Is Your Land.’ This past weekend’s concert at the Masonic in San Fransisco to artist, activist and living legend, Joan Baez, was the very definition of singing through the dark times.
