Real Betis Balompié was established on September 12, 1907. Notably, it is one of the few teams in Spain that has a fully Spanish name, making it the oldest among them. The club's achievements include securing one Spanish League title and two King’s Cups. Betis holds the distinction of being the first team from Andalusia to compete in the First Division, to win the modern version of the King’s Cup, and to claim the Spanish League title. Additionally, it was the first Andalusian club to participate in the UEFA Champions League in its current format. The team's home ground is the Benito Villamarín Stadium, which hosts between 45,000 and 52,000 season ticket holders.
