I liked the idea of ordering room service at the ball park. Not the elevated service you get at places like the Diamond Club behind home plate at Nationals Park — which is quite nice, by the way, ordering drinks and food from your seat and having it delivered. In that same piece I also pointed out that I have a kid and this site it for parents while not being a parenting site. We invited everyone to the party, especially people molding brains. A few months later Live Life Like You’re in a Bar went up. The sentiments behind that piece are sort of our rulebook for social media.

In my dream world I’m in a bar with all of my friends and potential friends. That dream world may never be possible. But I can make a dream jukebox. So I did. This is the 2024 Dream Jukebox. I chose 48 albums that would be on my ideal bar jukebox and 52 musicians, writers, filmmakers, DJs, bartenders, bar owners and others choose theirs. 50 contributors have the even numbered discs and the odds are all mine except where noted. The jukebox is a 100 CD jukebox, hence the number before each album.
