Rennlist

Rennlist was established in May 1997 by John Dunkle as an email discussion group for Porsche lovers, initially called “PorscheList.” This new platform served as a fresh alternative to the older “Porsche Fans” email server, which had been operating since 1995. By the year 2000, the community had expanded significantly, boasting 38 email lists, 7 web discussion forums, and more than 30,000 subscribers. Today, Rennlist stands as the largest online hub for Porsche enthusiasts, with over 200,000 registered members from around the globe. The forum encompasses more than 1 million discussion topics, covering everything from the classic Porsche 911 to the modern Porsche Taycan.

Intro The Porsche 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman models are dead. A couple of weeks ago I connected with Frank Wiesmann, product communications manager for Porsche Cars North America and he confirmed with me that in October of this year, 718 production will stop. At some point the models will get all-electric replacements. But the timing of that has not been released, and few people seem to care about an EV Boxster or Cayman anyway. I hate the decision to get rid of these cars.

Even worse than the destroyed 911, the violent celebrations resulted in the death of two fans and hundreds of arrests. On May 31, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) defeated Inter Milan to capture their first-ever UEFA Champions League crown. Thousands of fans poured into the streets throughout France to celebrate. The majority of the celebrations were peaceful but there were pockets of violent celebrations. According to a report by NPR, nearly 300 arrests were made, and two fans lost their lives.

A Nürburgring crash left this 911 GT3 RS in bad shape but after just 24 hours of labor it was looking as good as new. The owner of this 911 GT3 RS was chasing a sub-7-minute Nürburgring lap time when he had a bit of a moment. That moment was a 70-mph impact with a tire wall. The result was a car that could have easily been written off.

This custom 964 is a raw, analog reminder that Porsche’s magic isn’t in the performance figures – it’s in the feel. Tucked away in an airplane hanger at a municipal airport outside of a small Pennsylvania town is a custom Porsche 964. Although referring to it as simply a custom Porsche 964 feels like a disservice to this exceptional machine. It is an art on asphalt passion project owned by a man that understands what makes driving a Porsche 911 such a magical experience.

In a recently dropped teaser video, Porsche reveals the 963 RSP name but not much else regarding its street-legal race car. We reported earlier tat Porsche was teasing a roadgoing version of the Porsche 963 LMDh hypercar. It was planned in part as a way to celebrate 50 years since the release of the incredible Porsche 917 road car. Well, about a month has passed and Porsche is teasing us again. This time they did it by dropping a teaser video on their YouTube channel.
