Our third edition of 'What We're Playing' is here, where we each discuss what we've playing more casually. We're a little late this week to posting our weekly segment, but when we're full swing into conference season, can you truly blame us? With Nintendo Switch 2 also out now alongside that, it's been a busy one and that isn't slowing down just yet. With that out of the way, here's what we've found time to play among all the chaos.
Possessor(s) Is a New Action Platformer From the Hyper Light Team

Possessor(s) is a stylish action scroller from the Hyper Light team, and we've played the upcoming Steam demo. Developed by Heart Machine, Possessor(s) sees you play as a demonic duo taking the fight to the shady organization responsible for your town's demise. Publisher Devolver Digital describes it as “surreal interdimensional horror” wrapped up in a fast-paced action side scroller, with some metroidvania-esque exploration. A new trailer appeared during Day of the Devs, which you can see below.
Relooted Rescues African Artifacts With a New Heist Game

Relooted sees you liberating African artifacts from Western museums in a new parkour heist game. Announced during Day of the Devs, Relooted makes little secret that its taking aim at real world history. After assembling a crew from various African countries, the goal is to liberate 70 artifacts that also exist in real-life, ones that "are of huge cultural, historical, and spiritual significance" to the people they were taken away from.
BALL x PIT is a Surprising Mix of Vampire Survivors and Breakout

BALL x PIT is not a game I ever thought I’d play, but then who expected Devolver Digital to mix Breakout with Vampire Survivors? Either way, I’m not opposed to this unique blend. Created by Kenny Sun and Friends, I went hands-on at a recent Devolver Digital event before its official reveal. This straightforward premise sees you battering enemy hordes slowly marching towards you with balls, which then return to you automatically.
BAKUDO Blends Dodgeball With Sci-Fi Boss Rush Action

More dodgeball games are always welcome, and BAKUDO mixes the sport with a sci-fi boss rush game. Recently announced by publisher Shueisha Games, BAKUDO is described as having "high‑octane ball‑sports mechanics" with real-time combat. As a new academy recruit called Yuria, you're tasked with finding her missing father, making new friends and uncovering this academy's mysterious secrets. All of this takes place while fighting an elite group known as the Eight Stars.
I Cannot Stop Thinking About Syril Karn’s Final Act in Andor

This piece spoils major parts of Andor Season 1 and 2. I have been thinking about Andor a lot. Several times a day, a scene or a moment will pop into my head, and I’ll just stew on it. It’s usually little details, like how the series’ showrunner, Tony Gilroy, pointedly cast two Hispanic actors as the lead couple in a plot about a fascist government trying to hunt them down.

Yes, you read that correctly. Garfield Kart 2: All You Can Drift is a real thing, and we're not really sure what to make of it. Publisher Microids recently announced that one of the karting genre's worst games is getting a sequel. Why? Probably because the series still has a lot of family-friendly appeal. Now with Eden Games, Garfield Kart 2 comes with eight characters, customisable karts and three different universes themed on pirates, detectives, and cowboys.
Moonlighter, What Do You Mean It's Been Seven Years Since You Launched?

I originally began writing this article as a Moonlighter 2 news story, only to learn that the first game recently celebrated its 7th anniversary. Seven years, I can barely fathom it for a game that I've rebought countless times, and I still remember it fondly. My introduction to Digital Sun's action RPG came back in 2019 as one of the Epic Games Store freebies, and I decided to jump in because the premise reminded me of Recettear: An Item Shop’s Tale.

This week's been a quieter one for the team beyond our to a T review and brief Instants impressions, and we're all preparing for next week's Switch 2 launch. So, let's jump right in. Not a lot I can publicly discuss yet, I've been playing a few games currently under embargo, and I've not made much progress on Clair Obscur while recovering from a tooth problem.
