Our third edition of 'What We're Playing' is here, where we each discuss what we've playing more casually. We're a little late this week to posting our weekly segment, but when we're full swing into conference season, can you truly blame us? Possessor(s) is a stylish action scroller from the Hyper Light team, and we've played the upcoming Steam demo. Developed by Heart Machine, Possessor(s) sees you play as a demonic duo taking the fight to the shady organization responsible for your town's demise. Publisher Devolver Digital describes it as “surreal interdimensional horror” wrapped up in a fast-paced action side scroller, with some metroidvania-esque exploration. A new trailer appeared during Day of the Devs, which you can see below.

Relooted sees you liberating African artifacts from Western museums in a new parkour heist game. Announced during Day of the Devs, Relooted makes little secret that its taking aim at real world history. After assembling a crew from various African countries, the goal is to liberate 70 artifacts that also exist in real-life, ones that "are of huge cultural, historical, and spiritual significance" to the people they were taken away from.

BALL x PIT is not a game I ever thought I’d play, but then who expected Devolver Digital to mix Breakout with Vampire Survivors? Either way, I’m not opposed to this unique blend. Created by Kenny Sun and Friends, I went hands-on at a recent Devolver Digital event before its official reveal. This straightforward premise sees you battering enemy hordes slowly marching towards you with balls, which then return to you automatically.

More dodgeball games are always welcome, and BAKUDO mixes the sport with a sci-fi boss rush game. Recently announced by publisher Shueisha Games, BAKUDO is described as having "high‑octane ball‑sports mechanics" with real-time combat. As a new academy recruit called Yuria, you're tasked with finding her missing father, making new friends and uncovering this academy's mysterious secrets. All of this takes place while fighting an elite group known as the Eight Stars.
