But that’s exactly what recently happened for Rob Frith; owner of Neptoon Records on Main Street. In this case, the recording session can be traced back to 1962. And it’s not just any old band, it’s The Beatles. The value of such a find is incalculable.

Following up on our Richmond poppy street signs, we move onto the names of young soldiers who’s names were inscribed on the Cenotaph. The names of those inscribed on the Cenotaph compiles of 21 young men who lost their lives in World War I, World War II, and in the Korean War. The first name on our list is David Brown, born on Sept. 19, 1924 in Toronto, Ontario. Brown and his family emigrated from Toronto to Richmond in 1928.

Ryan Lin is coming off an impressive rookie year with the Vancouver Giants. At 17 years old, the Richmond-born defenceman just completed a stellar Western Hockey League debut season. Lin’s passion for the puck was forged early through a sibling connection; having an older brother that got him into the game at about three years old. “My brother is two years older than me and started playing hockey when he was five. I just followed him and whatever he did at the time.
