It seems crazy to me that a band like Orthodox has completely. They have been around for nearly 15 years and are 4 albums deep into their career, but this is the first time I’ve ever heard them. Talk about a shock to the system. A Door Left Open is one of the biggest revelations to come across my ears in quite some time. This is a nasty mindfuck of a record that wants you to feel every single part of it, while challenging you to turn it off.

Slung, the Brighton based four piece are one of the hottest new bands in the UK right now. They have just released their stunning debut album In Ways and are not on the road taking it to crowds up and down the UK. I was lucky enough to sit down with the band to discuss a wide range of topics, including the band’s inception and the album, the Brighton music scene, social media and working with panto dames…yes, you read that right.

Youth Code is one of most exciting duos in heavy industrial music not named Nine Inch Nails. When they took a break their future seemed uncertain. I can report wholeheartedly that upon their return their future, at least musicall remains as bleak as ever. While not as chaotic and frantic as their previous releases Yours, With Malice dials down the tempo and ups the creep factor. This is a snarling, insidious beast of an e.p that bares its fangs with intent to bite hard.

The Mysterious Four piece return with powerful and haunting new album…In past decades, the typical career rhythm for bands and artists followed a predictable cycle:release an album, go on tour, disappear from the spotlight, then return with a new album, touragain, and repeat. It was a monotonous loop driven by industry expectations, with little variationand long periods of silence between each phase.
