Hi Alex. I am unsure of what yo attribute the quote above so to do the best I can with the answer to the question. I suppose, we should reserve charcterologocal judgements against people from a position of discount of their perspective. There are too many ways people can be manipulated and misled. I like the quote from Steven Kotkin, "one can not be disillutioned without being illusioned." I think you have a good point there are emotional manipulations and other ways too.

The next enrollment time for my company insurance after the jabs about a year later included a 120% increase for additional insurance over prior year. For working age employees. The next year, it was 103% increase. Finally stabilized this year, although they did cut the automatic life insurance by 50%. I'm 61. From 50 to 59, I never once saw a major increase despite my age. I asked my detail oriented coworkers that are a few years older than me if they'd seen huge increases like that at 60-61. Nope.

On day one of Trump's second turn, he shocked many people by announcing the half-trillion dollar project to pursue personalized mRNA medicine. It’s crazy how Americans got lobotomized by MARVELS. ( MK Ultra ?) If I was you, I’d vote for him too, but he is not your Superman silly people. Even in this intelligent crowd, hero worshipping is strong, as seen from Big’s comment. It’s like you can’t really open your eyes. Constantly falling from one extreme to the other.

After a six month hiatus, I started playing poker again in mid-November. My favorite game is Pot Limit Omaha PLO due to the complexity of playing with four cards. To me, the combinatorial explosion of possible hand combinations makes playing PLO more fun and interesting than two-card Hold em. My current playing ability, after roughly 8,000 hands, is perhaps near the top of the bottom quartile of professional players.

Tereza is impossible. I stopped reading and responding to her substack a long time ago. Once her mind is made up there’s no talking to her. I can’t say I miss her or most of the stacks I used to engage in. I first read about BTC around 2013. Previously I had been fascinated by Ron Paul’s take on the Fed. Then, later, Bernard Von Nothaus’s foray into his Liberty Dollar. He minted beautiful coins out of precious metals. I have a silver 1oz. Naturally the Feds came down on Nothaus like a ton of bricks.
