Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, commonly referred to as RBKC, is a prestigious borough located in Inner London. It holds the title of the smallest borough in London and is the second smallest district in England, making it one of the most densely populated areas in the UK. This borough features upscale neighborhoods like Notting Hill, Kensington, South Kensington, Chelsea, and Knightsbridge. Geographically, RBKC is situated just west of the City of Westminster and east of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. It is home to significant cultural institutions and universities in the Albertopolis area, as well as high-end department stores like Harrods, Peter Jones, and Harvey Nichols. Additionally, the borough hosts numerous embassies located in Belgravia, Knightsbridge, and Kensington Gardens. Notably, RBKC is famous for the Notting Hill Carnival, the largest in Europe, and boasts some of the world’s most expensive residential properties, along with Kensington Palace, a residence of the British royal family.
