Sahelien.com is a news platform established in February 2014 by a team of journalists from Mali, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, and the United States, with the backing of the Klédu Group (Mali) and the Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA). The website's mission is to provide information to Sahelian communities and global audiences about events in Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso, especially in regions that often go unnoticed by both local and international media. Our main office is based in Bamako, and we have reporters located in Bamako, Gao, Timbuktu, Kidal, Niamey, Agadez, Zinder, Diffa, and Ouagadougou.
