Sandoval Signpost

Among all the newspapers that have existed in Bernalillo and Sandoval County since the territorial era, The Sandoval Signpost remains the only one still in operation. It originally started as a community newsletter called the Sign Post (written as two words) in 1988, founded by Candy Frizzell. The newsletter quickly evolved into a comprehensive community newspaper serving the Placitas area. In 1993, Barb and Ty Belknap took over the Sign Post and continued to publish it until 2022, when they began looking for a new owner.
