Slice Magazine

Slice Magazine

Slice is a nonprofit print magazine based in Brooklyn that was established in 2007 by book editors Maria Gagliano and Celia Johnson. It has received high praise from many prominent authors, editors, and agents. Pulitzer Prize winner Junot Diaz noted, "Beautiful, compelling, irresistible: Slice will knock you right out. In the best way possible." The magazine's mission is to connect emerging writers with established ones by featuring their works side by side. Each issue revolves around a specific cultural theme, inspiring articles and interviews from both well-known authors and emerging voices. Additionally, we showcase fiction and poetry that may not adhere to the theme, focusing on pieces by writers who are destined to become the literary stars of the future.
