Solar Builder

Solar Builder

Solar Builder was established in 2011 as a unique magazine that combined content on solar and wind energy. It featured updates on solar power construction in North America on one side and wind power on the other. The magazine was created under Benjamin Media, which had already been publishing the Alternative Power Construction magazine since 2009, covering various renewable energy topics including solar, wind, hydropower, geothermal, and tidal/wave energy. As we discovered that most of our readers were more interested in solar and wind, we decided to create Solar Builder/Wind Builder. However, in 2012, as government support for wind energy diminished, many wind projects were halted. This led us to shift our focus entirely to Solar Builder. Since then, we have seen a 50% increase in direct print subscriptions and have grown our bi-weekly e-newsletter to over 6,100 opt-in subscribers. Our website traffic continues to rise, and we have recently introduced a mobile app. With over five years of expertise in renewable energy construction, both Benjamin Media and Solar Builder have become reliable sources for the latest solar energy news in North America.
