Spiceworks

Our co-founders, united by a love for technology and a desire to create something impactful, engaged in one-on-one conversations with dedicated IT professionals to understand their challenges. They discovered a recurring issue: IT professionals were overwhelmed with tasks, found IT products complicated, and struggled to connect with tech vendors. This insight led to a crucial question: How can we make the daily work life easier for countless IT pros? And how can we enhance the IT landscape with tools that are user-friendly? Thus, the name Spiceworks came to life.

Now, I’m a workaholic’s workaholic who has been working 50-plus-hour weeks for decades, and I don’t believe that for a minute. That’s no way to live. It’s also no way to work. Managing a happy work-life balance in IT begins with putting life first. A working life doesn’t mean all work, no lifeI know, I know, tech culture, particularly the start-up side of it, is all about putting in macho hours.

There are a few schools that always seem to top the lists of best degree programs for IT pros. But with tuition rates skyrocketing at many colleges and universities, some question if they’re worth the investment.
