An early turnover deep in their own zone set Sarah Fillier up to open the scoring barely two minutes into the first. A mere few minutes later underutilized Loren Gabel stepped up and sniped home an equalizer. New York would have much of the run of play the rest oof the period and retook the lead in the final minute of the period on a rebound shoot Jesse Eldridge put home.

Heather Pollock for PWHL The early game saw Toronto dictate play a bit and earned a power play was Shay Maloney had a pretty obvious infraction in front of her own net. This would lead to a goal called on the ice as the penalty expired. A whistle was blown and the puck appeared to stop on the line before it was tapped in well after the whistle, but the goal was upheld upon review.

PWHL Both teams were feeling the lag from their star players completing their national team duties early. Each team was missing a former BC star, New York had Alex Carpenter out and Boston was missing Hannah Bilka. Jillian Dempsey the personification of Boston women’s hockey got the nod to filial sin for Bilka, while she was held scoreless she created a few dangerous opportunities in a first period that saw both goalies stand tall against pressure.

Boston seem energized to be back in front of their home fans and the crowd was enjoying it, The Fleet came out firing and they were rewarded when Alina Mueller got her first goal of the season. You could see the palpable relief from her along with he joy as she has had a very frustrating season. Mueller would remain a feature at the end of the period she was able to set up Emily Brown for her first goal of the season to give Boston a rare multigoal lead.

PWHL Starting theme the Fleet seemed energized and primed to score on rookie goalie Gwyn Philips in only her second career start. Boston would take the first penalty and despite a solid effort the Charge had a puck deflect off two of their players right after the penalty expired. The Fleet would even it up as Alina Mueller made a terrific move to eventually set up Sidney Morin and the puck ended up on Philips arm, which then went into the net as she went backwards to try and cover the puck.

PWHL The Fleet rode the momentum from their shoot out win on Sunday to a good start last night. Hannah Bilka continued her hot streak putting the Fleet up early assisted by Hilary Knight and Daniela Pejsova. Boston immediately doubled the lead off the stick of Shea Maloney but the Frost successfully challenged for goalie interference and the goal was wiped off the board. The Frost would even the score in the middle of the period when Denisa Krisova potted her first goal of the season.

PWHL The first was all Montreal, so bad some fans surely turned off the game. While Boston had the early advantage the Victoire turned that around when Emily Brown took a penalty. Montreal scored on that power play and stalled Boston’s offense out for the remainder of the period. Montreal added a second goal and seemed to have the game in the bag.

PWHL The first was another penalty fest for the Fleet. They were the first to have a skater advantage but did nothing with the opportunity. Soon after Sophie Shirley took consecutive minors. Montreal was kept off the boards for those penalties with some terrific defense and great goaltending out of Emma Soderberg. The Fleet then did what no team ever wants, allowed a goal in the last minute of the period, when Montreal broke down the ice and slipped it past Soderberg.
