Talk Africa is a digital platform dedicated to sharing multimedia content created by freelance journalists, correspondents, and industry experts. Launched in 2015, Talk Africa focuses on development-related topics such as health, agriculture, climate change, technology and innovation, gender issues, and extractive industries. Our contributors include local freelance journalists as well as correspondents from various regions, including DR Congo, South Africa, Uganda, and Tanzania. At Talk Africa, we aim to fill the storytelling gap that often exists when journalists are unable to share their stories in traditional media outlets for various reasons. We provide a space for journalists to publish accurate and well-researched articles that undergo thorough fact-checking. Additionally, Talk Africa has received investigative story grants from prestigious organizations such as the Earth Journalism Network, European Journalism Fund, National Geographic, the Media Council of Kenya, InfoNile, IWMF, Transparency International, and the Africa-China Reporting Project, among others.
