Tech Digest

Tech Digest

Tech Digest was founded in 2003 by two freelance tech writers, Chris Price and Ashley Norris. Both had prior experience writing for major UK publications, such as the Daily Mirror and The Guardian, as well as various monthly magazines from Future and Dennis Publishing. This venture marked their initial step into the world of blogging. Motivated by the success of Gawker Media and the Weblogs Inc network in the US, they teamed up with fellow freelance journalist Katie Lee to create the blogging network Shiny Media. In 2005, they launched their sister site, ShinyShiny, followed by several other blogs, including Who Ate All The Pies, which is currently managed by Anorak Publishing. After a re-launch in 2015, Tech Digest is now overseen by Chris Price and a small group of freelance writers. The site publishes between 6 to 10 articles on weekdays and additional pieces over the weekend. It covers a wide range of technology news, from smart fridges to 5G networks, and provides extensive coverage of major tech events like CES in Las Vegas and IFA in Berlin.

Share Amazon has reached an agreement with the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) to enhance its systems for tackling fake reviews and a deceptive practice known as “catalogue abuse.” These undertakings align with the new Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act (DMCCA), which explicitly bans bogus online endorsements.
