My kitchen sink had got issues for months but I hesitated to fix it because I thought it would be complicated. Whenever I turned on the faucet, the water would drain at a snail’s pace. Even worse, when I run the dishwasher, the dirty wastewater backing up into the sink, creating a messy and unhygienic situation. I thought that the P-trap under the sink was the problem. I took it out and it looked incredibly dirty and gunked up, so I went ahead and replaced it.

When I installed the BrassCraft 1/2 in. Compression Straight Valve under my kitchen sink, I followed the instruction but there was a persistent drip from the nut. While it may seem like a minor leak, it can lead to water damage and mold growth if left unaddressed. I used 2 wrenches: one to tighten the nut and another one to hold the valve and pipe steady. I tightened it until a snug fit, and then a little more for good measure but the dripping continued. This is actually a common problem.

That’s the reason why robot lawn mowers have become more popular and I even see some landscaping companies started using them to reduce the workload. I have a 0.5-acre lot and I often have to spend at least an hour every 1-2 weeks mowing the grass. This is not really an enjoyable experience since my lawn is complex and uneven.

When I started owning a home a few years ago, I had to look for an affordable battery-powered lawn mower and the RYOBI 40V HP RY401180 was an appealing choice because of its low price point. I used it for a few years and was quite happy with it; It is absolutely not the best lawn mower but it is good enough for most homeowners. However, over time I’ve seen the upper limits of the Ryobi, especially on my uneven and sloped lawn.
