Telecom Ramblings
Telecom Ramblings, launched on May 7, 2008, is a platform that explores the latest trends and advancements in the telecommunications sector. It focuses primarily on long-haul, metro, and undersea fiber networks, a wide range of data services, colocation and data centers, networking technologies, VoIP, unified communications, and content delivery networks. Following the downturn in the telecom industry that began in 2000, enthusiasm seemed to fade. Telecom Ramblings aims to share the narratives of this vital sector—highlighting the efforts of those who invest in, construct, and manage the communication infrastructure that many take for granted while admiring the sleek design of their smartphones. These stories involve individuals, companies, and public entities, all contributing to the ongoing evolution that has been taking place since the inception of the internet. While we strive to offer independent news, insights, and analysis, we are passionate about the subject matter and don’t claim to be completely neutral. Our love for telecommunications drives us to read, write, and share our thoughts on this fascinating field.
