Textile

Textile, previously known as Textile Magazine, is an art collective that actively involves the community in nurturing new and emerging talent in writing and the arts. We aim to highlight the rich diversity of the Haldimand Tract, located in the Waterloo Region. Since our inception in 2018, Textile has collaborated with over 100 emerging and marginalized writers and artists, many of whom have never been published before. We have printed and shared thousands of literary magazines, reaching audiences not just locally, but also across the province, nation, and even internationally. Our inaugural issue was brought to life by a passionate group of editors, mentors, and community partners, all united by a shared appreciation for relational and community-focused art practices.
