The Border Chronicle
In recent years, local newsrooms have faced significant challenges, leading to a decline in reliable, community-focused journalism. This gap has often been filled with misleading information and propaganda from those who are not connected to the border and lack genuine concern for its issues. As a result, we often see "border theater," where facts and images are manipulated for political gain or to enhance media ratings, ultimately harming our communities. The Border Chronicle aims to change this narrative. We are Melissa del Bosque and Todd Miller, seasoned journalists from Tucson, Arizona, with decades of experience covering border communities in both Mexico and the United States. Together, we bring 40 years of journalistic expertise, contributing to esteemed publications like The New York Times and In These Times, as well as authoring books focused on the region.
