The Crag and Canyon
The Banff Crag & Canyon was a weekly community newspaper located in Banff, Alberta, Canada. Its last edition came out on June 26, 2013. After its closure, it was succeeded by a new publication called The Bow Valley Crag & Canyon, which debuted on July 3, 2013. This new newspaper aims to provide coverage of news from Lake Louise to Kananaskis, filling the gap left by the shutdown of the Canmore Leader. The last editor of the Banff Crag & Canyon was Larissa Barlow, and Shawn Cornell served as its final Publisher. Similar to other local newspapers in the Bow Valley region, the Crag & Canyon operated without charging its readers, relying entirely on advertising for its revenue.
