The Zenith Defy Extreme Diver is one of the best modern dive watches releases in recent years, and this week, it welcomes a new configuration rendered in microblasted titanium. In Zenith parlance, this is the Shadow treatment, and it’s being released alongside a matching Defy Revival Diver in the same spec. The Shadow moniker is something we’ve seen in previously released Revival editions, and this Extreme Diver marks the first time to be used in a modern design.

The Zenith Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar was a stand out release last year, and every addition that’s been made to the line since somehow manages to bring out a new flattering element of the design. It’s a watch that can seemingly do no wrong. Today, we’re getting the latest entry, and it gets a stunning lapis lazuli blue stone dial that works exactly as well as you’d expect within this design.

Special Projects watches will live somewhere between HM and LM creations, a space which seems prime for opportunity.

The Serica 5303 has been a great, original dive watch platform since it first released in 2021. Its split bezel and integrated link fit within a twisted lug case was a perfect example of micro brands at their best. With early examples experiencing winding stem issues, however, it’s not a watch that ever felt all that roust.

The year 1969 continues to have a lasting impression on the current generation, and there’s still plenty of life in the throwback trend, it would seem. This week, Girard-Perregaux is returning to the era by bringing back their Deep Diver concept from 1969 (ref. 9108), using a design from 1971. The watch will be a part of the brand’s Legacy Edition collection, which will presumably house other historic watches, such as the Cassquette, moving ahead.
