This week on the podcast, Wesley Smith and I recap our recent travels with IWC to Goodwood outside of London, and the Miami GP outside of, well, Miami. We chat watch spotting, new releases (and some old ones) from IWC, and of course, race cars. These trips held a few surprises even for us, which we share our experiences around, from trackside action, to biking the circuit.

The storied history of Tudor’s dive watches needs little introduction to most enthusiasts. From the days of the Marine Nationale-issued Snowflakes and the Royal Canadian Navy-issued Submariners, to the modern Pelagos FXD, which has become almost eponymous with military application. Tudor is a brand with a legacy of making true tool watches. The introduction of the Pelagos Ultra at Watches and Wonders 2025 brought about the most technically impressive, not to mention capable, model to-date.

The Brew Metric embodies the very best of the modern small independent brand space. It’s also a watch that seems to be endlessly versatile, as each iteration and colorway that’s released works better than the last. After re-launching the brand (again) in 2024, Dennison seems to have found their stride. The historic watch brand has reinvented itself with a keen eye for details thanks to a design by none other than Emmanuel Gueit, designer of the Royal Oak Offshore, and the Rolex 1908. The cushion shaped case has hosted some rather exotic dials to date, including stone and wood, and all the while have kept pricing to under $700. It’s a similar entry method we saw used by Furlan Marri not long ago.

Doxa is updating their Sub 200 collection this week with a polished steel bezel that will join the existing references that use a sapphire bezel. The move brings a decidedly throwback vibe to the Sub 200 which, not surprisingly, works quite well when it comes to pretty much any Doxa. The Sub 200 was initially released in 2019, but it’s based on one of the original Sub designs of the early ‘60s, prior to the emergence of the Sub 300.
