Bill O’Reilly is correct in focusing his attention on next Tuesday’s debate. The first direct meeting of the two candidates for president will likely decide the election. I don’t like to make predictions like this, but think about it. The debate takes place 56 days before Election Day. That’s well within the “sprint” period that defines who gets the momentum swing. Philadelphia is the host city. Pennsylvania early voting begins only six (6–count’em!) days after the debate.

Jack Smith is like a Dachshund digging for a bone. He will never give up trying to put Donald Trump behind bars. When the Supreme Court struck down some aspects of Smith’s case, that included the former president’s acts in office (because acts of the president done as part of his authority and responsibility in office are indeed immune from a later administration’s lawfare), Smith simply did a word dance.

You know what’s weird? The President of the United States giving the first night speech at his own party’s convention, having been tossed from the ticket and made a lame duck. What’s also weird?

David French dropped 1,591 words in the New York Times to make his Kamala Harris endorsement feel better, but he came up short. French has felt for a while–nine years–that the Republican Party is moving in the wrong direction, and now he’s decided that only a far-left radical can shake the party. Hey, everyone can vote for who they want (as long as illegal aliens and dead people don’t cast ballots), so hooray for him.
