The Gannet

The Gannet

Established in February 2015, The Gannet is a digital magazine that delves into individual stories through the lens of the food they prepare and enjoy. Although our home base is in London, we journey extensively, uncovering food enthusiasts in cities like Paris, Sweden, New Orleans, Ireland, and Mexico City, among others. Our discoveries are shared on our website as well as in our print publication, Fork in the Road, which debuted in September 2016. Our approach primarily involves visiting individuals in their homes and inviting them to prepare a beloved dish. While our hosts may include chefs, food writers, or producers, we also engage with architects, artists, and children’s authors – as long as they have a passion for food, they are welcome. These visits can last anywhere from two to 12 hours, with our longest session reaching 14.5 hours (shoutout to Erika!). During these gatherings, we discuss a wide range of topics, from childhood food experiences to dislikes, and even the elements that make up the ideal breakfast.
