Bud Sutton, formerly of Holyrood, dies at the age of 89 Beverly Lyman (Bud) Sutton, of Manning, Alberta, formerly of Holyrood, died peacefully, April 7, 2025, at the age of 89, at the Manning Community Health Centre, with his family by his side. Born Aug. 28, 1935, in Ekfrid, Ontario, he was raised in Muncey, before moving to Holyrood, Ontario. He picked tobacco in Ontario and was a farmer in Holyrood where he milked dairy cows and drove truck.

Golf Fore Kids’ Sake raises $32,500 for local Big Brothers and Big Sisters The Golf Fore Kids’ Sake has raised $32,500 for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of South Bruce North Huron. Presented by NPX, the golf tournament was held Saturday, at Ainsdale Golf Course, and drew 29 teams. This is one of the biggest annual fund-raisers for the agency, with 100 per cent of the proceeds going to support young people in Southern Bruce and Northern Huron counties.
