The Learning Counsel
The Learning Counsel is a research organization and news platform dedicated to exploring the transition to digital learning materials in education. Our community includes 215,000 Superintendents, technology and instructional leaders, curriculum experts, numerous publishers, and passionate individuals involved in the education sector. Founded in 2014 by LeiLani Cauthen, The Learning Counsel emerged from her observations of the overwhelming confusion surrounding educational apps. She quickly gathered a small group of friends from schools, partnered with industry sponsors, and enlisted former Superintendent Dr. David Kafitz to host live discussions about the shift to digital curriculum. As word spread, these discussions grew into larger events, prompting a demand for more articles and insights. This led to a rapidly expanding community that has evolved into a significant movement poised to influence education on a global scale.
