The Meeting Magazines
Harvey Grotsky had a thriving career in advertising sales before he took a bold step in the 1970s by launching Coastal Communications Corporation, where he served as President, CEO, and Publisher. His first venture was a B2B magazine called Hotel & Resort Industry, aimed at professionals in the lodging sector, which quickly became popular. In September 1983, Grotsky introduced another magazine, Corporate & Incentive Travel, tailored for the unique requirements of corporate meeting and incentive travel planners. In the inaugural issue, he stated, “Corporate & Incentive Travel aims to simplify the complex decisions planners must make.” Despite the changing landscape of corporate meeting planning, the magazine continues to focus on delivering valuable news, in-depth features, destination insights, and perspectives from industry experts. Today, Corporate & Incentive Travel has over 40,000 loyal subscribers who rely on its content to enhance their planning efforts. The success of Corporate & Incentive Travel inspired Grotsky to develop a publication specifically for corporate meeting planners in the insurance sector. This led to the launch of Insurance Meetings & Incentives in 1993, which was initially published every two months. The title was later updated to Insurance Meetings Management, and in 2006, it became Insurance & Financial Meetings Management to cater to professionals in both the insurance and financial services fields. I&FMM is the only dedicated B2B meetings magazine for these industries, reaching more than 5,000 meeting and incentive travel planners and decision-makers every two months.
