The Native Cowgirl

The Native Cowgirl

As a fifth-generation rancher, I had the privilege of growing up on my family's active cattle ranch in southeastern Montana, where my deep appreciation for horses and cattle first took root. From a young age, I also developed a strong love and respect for the land. Together with my husband and son, we operate the Lazy Six Nine Ranch, raising black Angus cattle and half-draft horses. I am proud to be an enrolled member of the Oglala Lakota Sioux tribe, and my family and I live and work on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota, while also enjoying time in the stunning Beartooth Mountains of Montana. My mission is to promote positivity and raise awareness about modern ranching life. I am particularly passionate about supporting women in agriculture and encouraging them to elevate their lives. Through my blog and podcast, The Native Cowgirl, along with public speaking, photography, writing, and social media, I aim to highlight the changing roles of women in the agricultural sector.
