    COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio Republican Party (ORP) State Central Committee (SCC) endorsed Vivek Ramaswamy for governor and U.S. Senator Jon Husted for his 2026 Senate bid Friday during a meeting at ORP headquarters. Ramaswamy’s nod came by secret ballot – a 60-3 tally.  He needed 44 “yes” votes. Husted’s endorsement was less contentious but equally significant. Since he is a current office holder he needed only a simple majority.
