    After taking two series in a row by a score of 2-1, the Oswego State baseball team was feeling good about their chances in the SUNYAC standings. Taking down SUNY Cortland and Fredonia with a cumulative record of 4-2 was all they could have asked for. Their next endeavor, however, proved a much greater challenge. The SUNY New Paltz Hawks sat in the N.2 of the SUNYAC, above the Lakers before their matchups. But before that came a short pit stop and a game against the Alfred State Pioneers.

    It has been 11 long years since the last installment of the Mario Kart series was released. The wait ends on June 5 of 2025. Nintendo will release their newest edition of the famous racing series alongside the brand-new Nintendo Switch 2 console. The game is called Mario Kart World and it aims to please both the newcomers and the most hardcore ultra-shortcut lovers out there. But it will be the most unique entry in the series to date.

    After being knocked out of the SUNYAC tournament in the semifinals by their arch rival, the Oswego State Lakers had the chance to get the ultimate revenge in their own barn. By a small miracle, the Plattsburgh State Cardinals had managed to overcome a 3-0 deficit in just the third period of their contest against Cortland, force overtime and win the game in the first minutes of OT, sending them to the SUNYAC championship.

    An energetic, down to the wire finish was certainly what the doctor ordered for the Oswego State men’s hockey team at the end of their regular season. One that was filled with ups and downs, triumphant victories and frustrating losses. The Lakers swept their rivals, the Plattsburgh State Cardinals in the regular season, winning both their home and away contests, both by multiple goals.

    After a disappointing first weekend of hockey, the Oswego State Lakers were still searching for that first taste of true victory. As you may recall, the Lakers got a spiritual win after defeating Elmira University in the shootout, but the only thing that counts for is a possible tiebreaker come the end of the season.
