The Rangers Football Club
Rangers Football Club, located in Glasgow, Scotland, is a well-established professional football team. They compete in the Scottish Premiership, which is the highest level of football in Scotland. Many people, especially outside of Scotland, refer to the club as Glasgow Rangers, although this name is not its official title. As the fourth-oldest football club in Scotland, Rangers was established by four young boys who came up with the idea while strolling through West End Park (now known as Kelvingrove Park) in March 1872. They played their first match against Callander, a team that is no longer in existence, at the Fleshers' Haugh area of Glasgow Green in May of that same year. The club's home ground, Ibrox Stadium, designed by the renowned architect Archibald Leitch, opened its doors in 1929. It is recognized as a Category B listed building and is the third-largest football stadium in Scotland. Throughout its history, Rangers has consistently worn royal blue shirts.
