The Reporter News
The Reporter News stands out as one of the few remaining independent newspapers in Texas. It first launched with the Friendswood Reporter News in 1969, followed by the Pearland Reporter News in 1971. Laura Emmons took over ownership of both newspapers in 1993 after spending 11 years with the previous publisher. Since then, Laura and her husband, Randy Emmons, have committed themselves to delivering local news to their community. In response to community interest, they expanded their reach in 2006 by introducing the Manvel Reporter News to serve the residents of Manvel.
