As finals week inches closer, the Associated Student Organization brought out glitter, beads and lots of glue for Pierce College students to get their hands gooey and their minds off of studying. Attendees of ASO’s “Relax with Crafts” event made multicolor, sparkly slime on Tuesday, under the shining May sun along Rocky Young Park. It was one of several ASO activities this week, with “Pawsitivity” and “Grad Fest” events coming up on Thursday.

Like more than 60 percent of Los Angeles Community College District students, Mansager experiences food insecurity.

Terance Pope Jr., a defensive back on the Pierce College football team who aspired to play in the NFL, died on Dec. 17, 2024. He was 21 years old. Pope Jr. was shot in Sanford, Fla., and three suspects have been arrested in connection to the killing. The has charged suspects Khalil Hunter, 22, and James Nelson, 22, with first-degree felony murder, and Shunavious Dorsey, 23, with being an accessory, for the killing.
