Our platform allows students to express their voices, covering a wide range of topics such as culture, multimedia, features, opinions, science, sports, and campus news. We publish in-depth articles, investigative pieces, and thoughtful commentary aimed at keeping the campus community informed, fostering growth, and sparking discussions. You can find us in the Student Activities Center Media Wing, room 307K, every Wednesday at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. If you’re interested in writing, photography, copy editing, web management, or simply have questions, we welcome you to join us!

    Stony Brook University faculty and community members are set to screen the Palestinian documentary No Other Land on April 23 in the Engineering Building. This comes after the school administration canceled a planned screening in Wang Theatre the same day. The Provost told organizers to reschedule the screening because it fell on the same day as the Israeli Holocaust Remembrance Day, Yom HaShoah, and a few days after the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising anniversary, faculty members said.

    The Office of the Provost confirmed that the federal government terminated 11 SBU international students’ visas in an email sent on Thursday. The school did not specify why the students’ visas were revoked. “As you may know, the federal government has terminated student visas for a small number of international students across the country in the Student Exchange and Visitor Information System (SEVIS),” the email said.

    Namal, then a student at Stony Brook University (SBU), had nothing to do for a while. She had just been suspended from the university and barred from campus because of her involvement in the May 2024 Gaza solidarity encampments on the Staller Steps. While at Stony Brook, she stayed busy: Namal was the president and co-founder of Stony Brook’s Students for Justice in Palestine chapter (SJP), which has repeatedly been in trouble with the university administration.
