The Sun (Malaysia)

The Sun, also known as theSun, is Malaysia's first free daily newspaper, presented in a tabloid format. It is published from Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays, and primarily targets white-collar professionals and young urban readers. The newspaper is issued by Sun Media Corporation Sdn Bhd, a division of the Berjaya Media Group, which was previously called Nexnews Berhad. theSun was first introduced on June 1, 1993, initially as The Sun. After halting its publication on June 30, 1994, for a redesign, it returned to the market a month later. In 2002, it transitioned to a free newspaper format, and home delivery is offered at a cost of RM0.30.
