That was the message by Camden City Mayor Victor Carstarphen as he announced applications are now being accepted for this year’s Camden Summer Youth Internship Program. The city’s Department of Human Services (DHS) is accepting applications in-person and online. The deadline to submit an application is Friday, May 16, 2025.

The end is within days for iconic fast fashion retailer Forever 21 at Cherry Hill Mall after 16 years at the location. Mall owner PREIT confirmed it was “actively evaluating options for the space” currently occupied by Forever 21, which sits across the Levi’s Store on the first level. The countdown was on. Signs on the Forever 21 storefront windows earlier this week suggested a final shutdown of store operations after Sunday, April 27.

Cherry Hill Township just made a big purchase for its Public Works Department: two new electric mowers to replace gas ones. The mowers are part of a pilot program that Mayor David Fleisher launched on Thursday to cut down on emissions while the Township conducts grass cutting duties. Long-term wise, the electric mowers could become part of a bigger effort toward a more sustainable Cherry Hill, said Fleisher.
