The UNLV Scarlet & Gray Free Press

The Rebel Yell is the recognized student newspaper of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and it has received awards for its excellence. It started out as Nevso News in 1954, and the first edition with The Rebel Yell name was published on April 25, 1955. In 2006, the Society of Professional Journalists named The Rebel Yell the Best Non-Daily Student Newspaper of 2005.
