The Utah Investigative Journalism Project
Established in 2016, the Utah Investigative Journalism Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the public through journalism and educational initiatives in Utah and its surrounding areas. We collaborate with newspapers and broadcast media to tackle challenging investigative stories, aiming to support these outlets in their vital function as watchdogs for the government and advocates for marginalized communities. Additionally, we are committed to nurturing the next generation of journalists by offering free training sessions in investigative journalism. These workshops are designed for rural newspapers, student reporters, and larger media organizations alike.

The event will especially focus on helping survivors of domestic violence and/or sexual assault advocate for themselves in the system and understand what’s happening in their cases.
