Brenda and I have known each other for a long time, having met through a writer’s organization we belonged to Years ago, when I mentioned to her that I always wanted to own an RV one day, she shared that so did she! Fast forward and Brenda fulfilled her dream and has been RV traveling in ‘Rover’ for a few years now. Brenda turns 65 in January and I asked her to share her inspiring story with me. If you don’t mind me asking, how old are you?

Last Christmas, my daughter surprised me with tickets to see Boy George in Moulin Rouge! on Broadway. The show was at 7 p.m. so I had time to do what I, as the Virgin Traveler, do best: explore something new. This time I picked The Morgan Library & Museum, located at Madison Avenue and 36th Street in New York City. Of course, I needed something to eat, so I researched some more and found the retro Ellen’s Stardust Diner, where the servers sing! Did I enjoy the museum and my dinner and the show?

A few months ago, I went to Raleigh, North Carolina for the first time to attend my niece’s wedding. I didn’t have much time to explore, but like the Virgin Traveler that I am, I had to find something to explore. My daughter, Samantha, came with me and since we both love museums and free things to do, we went to the Gregg Museum of Art & Design at North Carolina State University. This museum appears small when you first enter, but it is chock-filled with so many great pieces of art.

On my three-week road trip to WrestleMania 39 last year, I stopped in Scottsdale, Arizona for two nights. I had a day off from traveling so I made plans to meet a friend of mine for lunch before my son and I flew to California. So I had a few hours to spend in Old Scottsdale, Arizona. I forgot to post about this and wanted to share what a cute and lovely place Old Scottsdale is to visit no matter how much time you have.

(Reprinted from my other blog, Reel Travels Magazine with some minor edits.) I love love love any kind of tour or museum that has film or television memorabilia. So I knew on my three-week road trip to WrestleMania 39, I had to stop and take a Sony Pictures Studio Tour. (Years and years ago I took a Universal Studios Tour when I went to California to see Hollywood for the first time.
