Tokyo Broadcasting System International was established in April 1989 in New York as a fully owned subsidiary of Japan's leading TV and radio network, Tokyo Broadcasting System Inc., now known as Tokyo Broadcasting System Holdings, Inc. (TBSHD) is a publicly traded company based in Tokyo, Japan. It oversees TBS Television, Inc. and TBS Radio & Communications, Inc., which operates a 28-affiliate news network known as JNN (Japan News Network) and a 34-affiliate radio network called JRN (Japan Radio Network). TBS is famous for producing the popular game show Takeshi's Castle and is also associated with the Ultraman series.
