Tribune Media
Tribune Media Company, often referred to as Tribune Company, was a major multimedia organization based in Chicago, Illinois. As part of Tribune Broadcasting, it became one of the largest television broadcast companies in the country, owning 39 TV stations nationwide and managing three more through local marketing deals. The company also owned WGN America, a national basic cable channel/superstation, along with Chicagoland Television (CLTV), a regional cable news channel, and the Chicago radio station WGN. Additionally, Tribune held a 31% stake in the Food Network as part of its investment portfolio.
