Established in 1977, the station's goal is to offer listeners thorough news coverage along with music that stimulates the mind and uplifts the spirit. TROY Public Radio proudly caters to the tri-state area encompassing central and southeast Alabama, Southwest Georgia, and the Florida Panhandle. Our esteemed broadcast partners include National Public Radio, American Public Media, the BBC, and the Public Radio Exchange. Our efforts have earned us accolades from the Alabama Broadcasters Association, the Society of Professional Journalists, and the Southeast Journalism Conference.
