The Bureau of Budget and Planning (BP), previously known as the Bureau of Resource Management, has key responsibilities that include preparing and submitting the budget requests for the Department, overseeing its operational resource needs, and making sure that operational planning aligns with these resource requirements. Additionally, BP works together with the Office of U.S. Foreign Assistance Resources to create policies, plans, and programs aimed at meeting foreign policy objectives.
